Editor’s note – Summer 2024/25

Welcome to the summer 2024/25 edition of the Hills Wanderer!

Welcome to the summer 2024/25 edition of the Hills Wanderer!

If you’re anything like me, you’ll be looking forward to big bowls of fresh Adelaide Hills cherries on the Christmas table this year.

In this edition, we’ll introduce you to one of the people behind some of the cherry industry’s innovations, including the development of the more resilient varieties that help keep cherries on our tables, rain, shine or hail.

We’ll also take you behind the scenes to meet the chef and founder of one of Hahndorf’s newest eateries and reveal some delicious Lenswood wines you should add to your wine list this summer.

This year also marks five years since the devastating Cudlee Creek bushfire in the Hills and we caught up with local racing identity John Glatz to find out what life looks like five years on from his miraculous survival.
