Editor’s Note | Spring 2025

This season we celebrate three years of Hills Wanderer magazine.

Welcome to the spring 2025 edition of the Hills Wanderer!

This season, as we celebrate three years of the Hills Wanderer magazine, we want to thank you for continuing on this journey with us.

In this 13th edition we will introduce you to the quiet, unassuming local man who singlehandedly crafted a seven-metre, 700kg Viking longship replica in his own backyard – spurred on by his Scandinavian roots and a love for working with his hands.

Also find out all about MasterChef star Callum Hann’s recipe for success and get to know the man who’s been filling Stirling with the woody scent of roasting chestnuts for more than 35 years.

We also take you on a journey back in time as part of our new History Unearthed series and shine a spotlight on one of the many people who helps keep our community thriving in our new Unsung Heroes series.
