Editor’s note – Spring 2023

Welcome to the second spring edition of the Hills Wanderer!

Putting together this edition of the magazine, it’s difficult to believe we’ve already come full circle to reach a year since our first publication.

What began a little over a year ago as a (some might say crazy!) plan conceived by the team at The Courier, to shine a spotlight on a different, but rich, aspect of the Adelaide Hills community, has grown into a staple part of our regional coverage.

It’s the people who make a community what it is.

And while reporting the weekly happenings of Adelaide Hills politics, councils and local issues is the newspaper’s bread and butter, the Hills Wanderer magazine has helped us take a deeper look at some of those people and just what it means to be from the Adelaide Hills.

As we celebrate the first birthday of the Hills Wanderer this spring, we want to thank you – our readers, advertisers and those of you who have shared your stories with us – for catching our vision a little over a year ago and helping us to do what would have been impossible without you.

We’re so glad you’ve come on this journey with us!

– Elisa Rose
