Things we love – Spring 2023

1
Stirling Laneways

Brightening up the byways and laneways of Stirling on market Sundays during the warmer months, Stirling Laneways is celebrating its 10th season this year. Wander through the picturesque town, listening to live music, watching street performers and soaking up the village atmosphere. Why not grab an artisan pastry or browse the various market fares on offer?

2
Gathered shop

You’ve heard of the popular Gathered Market, which brings SA businesses to Hahndorf every Christmas. Well now the woman behind the market is bringing those businesses to the town year-round! Let us introduce you to the Gathered shop – a space that will showcase SA businesses under one roof, seven days a week!

3
New Mt Barker mural

If you’re driving down Adelaide Road at Mt Barker, it’ll be hard to miss the new mural on the side of Wallis Cinema at Auchendarroch House. It’s part of the region’s bushfire recovery and has been enhanced with augmented reality – meaning the pictures can be brought to life by scanning a QR code. Why not take a wander along the Wallis Wall of Wonder and see what you find?

4
Singles mingle

Ever wished you could meet someone the old fashioned way? The Haus at Hahndorf has you covered! Every Friday night they’re holding a singles night for those aged 35 plus. Think drink specials, live music and plenty of opportunity to mingle with other Adelaide Hills singles!

5
Coffee with a twist

Want to make a difference just by grabbing a morning coffee? Try the Hidden Smile coffee cart, often found on Flaxley Road at Mt Barker. The man behind the cart, Adam Graetz, donates his Monday takings to a mental health organisation.

6
E-Bike exploration

Ever thought about exploring your backyard on two wheels?
Ride Union Bike Co at Aldgate and E-Go Bike Hire based at Uraidla both offer e-bike hire and we think it’s the perfect way to really immerse yourself in the stunning Adelaide Hills!
