Elysha Magor and Josh Teakle
Elysha Magor and Josh Teakle first met at St Francis de Sales College as Year 1 students, but it wasn’t until they both graduated from the school more than a decade later that sparks flew.
The couple, who began dating after finishing Year 12 in 2014, was married on January 21, 2023, almost exactly 20 years after they met in January of 2003.
Josh proposed to Elysha in December 2021.
“I surprised her on the Friday night … when she got home from work,” Josh says.
“I had set up some candles and flowers and wine and I was upstairs waiting to propose.
“Elysha hates surprises, but she loved that one.”
Elysha and Josh were married at Howard Vineyard on what Josh describes as a “perfect summer day”.
“A major highlight was having my Auntie Anthea act as our celebrant and that so many people could make it to our wedding considering that so many have been hampered by Covid in recent years,” he says.
