Stacey Pomery and Nelson Kincaid’s love story began over a Facebook meme.
The couple met in high school, but lost touch after graduating.
“Nels randomly tagged me in a Facebook meme in 2017, we kicked off a conversation over messenger and then started catching up,” Stacey says.
The pair began dating, and by 2022 had built a house together.
They were engaged in 2024, a few months before welcoming their baby girl, Penny.
“We went on a Babymoon to Byron Bay back in January 2024 and not long after arriving at our accommodation, I walked out of the bathroom to find Nels standing there with a ring box and launching into a speech that made me bawl my eyes out,” Stacey says.
“It was a no-brainer for me and I said yes.”
Stacey and Nelson were married at Lot.100 at Hay Valley on January 31, 2026, in a ceremony that included their daughter and their close friends’ children as flower girls and page boy.
“They captured everyone’s hearts and provided a lot of entertainment throughout the ceremony,” Stacey says.
“Other highlights were my grandparents signing our wedding certificate with us, the food, drinks, dance floor and just being in a room with all our most important people in life.”
