Things we love – Summer 2022/23

Kid-friendly winery

Looking for a day out that both adults and kids will adore? We love the family zone at Sidewood Estate at Hahndorf.
Featuring swings, climbing ropes and outdoor games, it’s the perfect place to sit back and relax with a glass of Adelaide Hills wine while the kids let off some steam. Oh, and if the adults feel like getting in on the fun, there’s also lawn bowls and pétanque!

Club Woodhouse Annual Membership

Woodhouse Activity Centre’s new Club Woodhouse annual membership is the perfect gift for those who love to head out into the great outdoors and leave behind the screens! The membership offers unlimited – yes, that’s right! – day entry for four people for a year, including access to favourites like Woody’s Challenge Hill, Disc Golf, the tube slide and much more!

Fresh Fruit app

Buying fresh Adelaide Hills produce straight from the orchard just got a whole lot easier! Fruit Producers SA’s new Fresh Fruit app is designed to help you find nearby growers and experiences, including pick your own, shed door sales, cellar doors and cafes.
Download the app to enjoy the unrivaled taste of freshly picked fruit!

Atkins sunflower farm

There’s no flower that feels more like summer than the sunflower and you can get up close and personal with the stunning blooms at Atkins Farm at Meadows. Owners Monika and Tim McArthur open their farm once a year so visitors can pick their own bunches.

Alchemy cocktail bar

We love this marriage of art and bar! One of the Adelaide Hills’ newest cocktail bars, Alchemy is a collaboration between artist Taylr Jay and the owners of Nairne’s Monte Bello Pizza. It’s open between 12.30–8.30pm every Sunday – the perfect way to
finish the week!

Christmas markets

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by wandering through one of the several local festive markets? Browse for the perfect gift or soak up the Christmas asthmosphere at the Christkindlmarkt at Hahndorf, the Festive Twilight Market at Mt Barker or the Christmas Twilight Market at Mt Pleasant.
