It only took two dates for Zoe McAllister to be sure that Tim Dunkerton was the one.
“I knew he was the one when he took me to an ABBA tribute concert on our second date and we spent the whole time singing and dancing together,” Zoe says.
Zoe, from Aldgate, and Tim, from Hertfordshire in the UK, met on a blind date in January 2021, while Tim was travelling in Australia. Less than a year later, Tim proposed during a holiday to Darwin.
“Tim thought it would be sentimental to propose on the beach, while we enjoyed the sunset and a bottle of champagne,” Zoe says.
“He proposed with an engagement ring that had been custom designed by my wonderful friend, Claudia from Ginger and Gem.”
The couple was married on December 14, 2024, at Longview Vineyard at Macclesfield.
“Our highlight was all our family and friends making the journey from the UK to be with us on our special day,” Zoe says.
“Tim had all his best friends from the UK and his childhood friend, Tom, as his best man.
“Longview had the most incredible food and wine and we had so much fun on the dance floor all night.
“Being able to share our wedding day with our beautiful daughter, Daisy, was a moment we will cherish forever.”
